Here’s the latest pod cast with myself and the delicious Amy Matheny. Unfortunately our Skype-ing skills were tested that night, so I ended up on my cell phone and I sound like I’m speaking through a dirty trombone. We talked about Joan Crawford, Liza, old TV shows, and American Idol. It’s nice that I’m stretching myself.

I remember those Mother Nature commercials! They were for Chiffon margarine. Remember the jingle? "If you think it's butter, but it's SNOT--it's Chiffon!" And Mother Nature was Dena Dietrich, who went on to play Dorothy's sister Gloria in an episode of "Golden Girls" (when Gloria was broke and had to ride the bus to Miami to visit, and Dorothy gloated). Before that, she was Karen Valentine's mother in a short-lived sit-com in the 80s.
I don't know why I remember all this shit...I remembered Katherine Helmond too...
