In the middle of the madness of moving, sticking the kitties in a fancy kitty Hotel, and directing, teaching, singing, dressing up like a gigantic Peacock, and all the sequins, feathers and random Cher impersonations that seem to be my world, Chrisanne has had a life as well.
The folks at her job gave her a farewell cake, a farewell party, and have now given the word “Farewell” a new meaning.
Here. Take a gander at these.
The best thing about these pictures is the pure unadulterated glee with which this scheme is being enacted. The smiles and grins on her co workers faces are priceless.
Then of course, there’s that guffaw from Chrisanne. She’s usually a genuinely happy person, but if you can get her guffawing, that smile and that cackle can warm the heart of even the deepest cynic. Look at her holding her coffee in one hand, her work to take home in the other, and her body almost doubled over in happiness. She’s going to miss these folks. She’s shed a multitude of tears since we’ve announced that she’s finally coming back with me to Hollywierd. At least she’s going out with style, and most importantly, knowing she’s cared for and with an earth shaking Guffaw.

I didn't get to know Chrisanne as well as I'd like, dammit, but I've been around her joy enough to know that they are really going to miss her in that office.
What a mixture of emotions she must be feeling. I feel it myself. Happy she is going home with you but sad about you both leaving Chicago.
